Playstation Network Down Until June!

So, I have bad news and worse news. Ready?

The PlayStation Network is still down! Nooooooo!! It’s been down since April 20, 2011, which means we’re on day 20 without online multiplayer, Home, PlayStation Store access and Qriocity. It went down on a date where stoners unite online to have fun and kick back, however the networks drop has caused near death situations worldwide.  This is the crappy news for Sony. The worse news is that there is a slight chance that the PSN may not be back up until May 31, 2011. A Bloomberg representative got the disheartening news from Sony’s Shigenori Yoshida.

Sony originally expected to have rudimentary PSN services, like access to trophies, online multiplayer, game verification and account management options, online last week. As we now know, that didn’t happen. Then on May 6, 2011, we heard Sony started final internal testing measures to supposedly get the PSN running again, but I guess “final” has a different meaning over at Sony because, again, we still don’t have PSN access.

Now, Sony’s saying that it hopefully will have the all PSN and Qriocity services running as usual by May 31, 2011. It hasn’t stated if partial PSN services will resume in the meantime, or if everyone will just have to wait another 22 days to take their systems online.

I told you we’d see that big 3DS firmware update, where Nintendo releases the eShop and internet browser, before we saw the PSN again.
