3,000 years ago Astrology was born and with it came the creation of twelve Zodiac signs that were assigned to those that were born on the corresponding dates.
Today, Astronomer Parke Kunkle explained that changes in the Earth’s alignment have caused the dates of many zodiac signs to change. Furthermore, these changes may have added the 13th zodiac sign called Ophiuchus. The slow movement of both the Earth and Sun have altered the signs, according to Kunkle.
There is heavy speculation that the new signs will effect only those born today or after and that all previous signs will remain intact. So, everyone who has a tattoo of their sign needs to calm down and put the firearm away.
Here are the new dates for the Zodiac signs:
Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18 – May 13
Taurus: May 13 – June 21
Gemini: June 21 – July 20
Cancer: July 20 – Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10 – Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16 – Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30 – Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23 – Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 – Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17 – Jan. 20
