Sony’s NGP and what we know

Sony announced their “Next-Generation Portable” at the Tokyo Game Show without any further details on its features and what’s under the hood.

Now we can finally reveal that the new device runs on a A9 Core which is quad-core processing which will deliver games that looks as stunning as they do on the Playstation 3!

Size-wise this baby is half an inch longer than the original, an inch wider, and a tenth of an inch thicker.  Since this is a touch based portable it makes sense to modify NGP’s size to assure users don’t drop it while holding it in one hand.

No more UMD which was the smartest move Sony made, but didn’t they achieve this with the PSPGo?  Games are going to start being released on memory sticks.  There will be plenty of physical space for you to fill your games, movies, and music.

There will be an optional 3G model which allows you to connect to the Playstation Store and play online games from anywhere you are.  Super useful for people on the go.

Last but not least, you can expect revamped controls with dual-analog sticks, multiple gyroscopes, innovative back sensor controls, and touch screen play.  You can expect to play games in whole new ways.  Plenty of high quality games such as Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, or God of War as soon as the device launches.

Expect a full media coverage of Sony’s NGP when the BuzzYa crew visits E3 this June!
