The boys are coming back. Well, I don’t know how fair it is to call these guys “boys”. The old action dudes are coming back.
Millennium Films has officially put The Expendables 2 on tap for a theatrical release sometime in the future, but with one major change - Sylvester Stallone will not be back in a directing role. Before you have a heart attack, allow me to ease your sorrows. Stallone WILL be returning in a starring and producing role for the production and by all indications, it is Sly himself who will be hand picking the next directors.
Since the success of the first one became public, fans have been wondering just who would be in The Expendables 2. I assume that the heart of the cast will be returning, but what about the legendary ass kickers who sat that one out? I’m talking about Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sure, Arnie showed up for about 6 seconds in the first one, but with his governating days behind him, one can only assume (and hope) that he would have a much larger role in the second one.
All we can do is pray to the gods of plunder and pillaging for The Expendables 2 to roll out a dream cast.
