The Smurfs Trailer Debuts

First it was the Flinstones. Then it was Garfield. After that came Alvin & The Chipmunks. Now, the film world is taking another crap on our childhood memories with the arrival of The Smurfs movie, and if this trailer is any indication, it’s going to be just as depressing as the aforementioned adaptations. There’s nothing here that induces even the most mild of positive feelings or thoughts. It’s just bad on every level. Even the addition of NPH, Neil Patrick Harris can’t salvage this one. The Smurfs opens on August 3, 2011. God help us all.
